About Us

Treballu was born from a daydream, grown with extreme passion: to become the home of a community of people who live, meet, interact and collaborate every day in an environment full of inspiration and creativity.

It is the result of a crazy idea and a unique vision born from a group of friends with different experiences and stories behind them, who decided to come back to Sardinia and stay to live here to build a new, innovative and dynamic project.

Each person involved in the development of the project has followed a different personal and professional growth path. We are all united by the goal of making community, building relationships and collaborations, involving people from all over the world.

Through Treballu we plan and work to build our village of the future: a lifelong workshop for the development of the region, a living village full of people, professionals, artists and creative people from all over the world, true temporary inhabitants of our community.

How it all began

Hi, my name is Carlo and I am the founder and community manager of Treballu..

I am a youth policy and small and medium business development project manager, I have always worked remotely and I love to travel to unique places far from the classic tourist destinations.

In 2015 during a youth exchange, by chance and luck, I discovered Sende, one of the first rural coworking and coliving spaces in Europe and the world.

Digital nomads, engineers, creatives and artists gathered in a small village in Galicia, 2h away from Santiago de Compostela, in a location far from the city and completely immersed in the mountains and nature.

That journey gave rise to the idea of creating a shared space in Sardinia as well. On my return I met old and new friends, people that had decided for one reason or another to return to Laconi: and this time to stay.

Together with Federico, Ivano, Fabio, Chiara, Francesca, Nura, Gianni and many others, Treballu came to life. Several months passed and finally, in July 2020, after much work and effort, whitewashing, cleaning, and studying, Treballu Rural Community Hub, the first rural coworking and coliving space in Sardinia, was finally born.

The last two and a half years have been full of excitement, meetings and successes that have fully repaid all the efforts made.

Our community has expanded with the entry of Annalisa, Claudio, Roberta, Maurizio and many other people who, even from a distance, collaborate with us to create extraordinary ideas and projects.

Carlo Coni

Founder e Project Manager

Founder and project manager, from his mind comes the ambitious dream of bringing a community space to a village where there is little or nothing. An incurable dreamer and optimist, he is able to find a solution to almost anything. His motto is: one crisis at a time!

Annalisa Zaccaria

Garden Designer

A designer of not-yet-green spaces who came to Treballu through a series of fortunate events, she decided to stay and bring her green contribution to the project. Working with perseverance and determination, she dreams of transforming Treballu into a sustainable and self-sufficient place full of well-being and abundance.

Casa Nura

For her friends Nura, with the Casa Nura project she shares and teaches typical Sardinian recipes, promoting the consumption of local and seasonal food, to become conscious and responsible consumers.

Graphic designer and 3D artist, after experiences abroad he decided to come back and invest in his homeland. He is the author of Treballu's logo and graphic consultant.
